Privacy Policy

TrueToss is an app for flipping a virtual coin, available in English and German. This policy explains which data TrueToss processes, where it stays and which services receive data.
Controller
The controller within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR is Paul Wolfmajer, a natural person publishing apps under the developer name Wolpa (see Impressum). For privacy requests, contact support@wolfmajer.com.
No Account, No Permissions
TrueToss needs no account and asks for no Android permission dialog. It does not access location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or other files. The app only uses internet access for the services listed below.
Flips and Random Numbers
Every flip is decided on your device by the operating system’s cryptographically secure random number generator. Results are not sent anywhere.
Data Stored on Your Device
TrueToss stores in its private app storage: the number of heads, tails and edge landings, the current and longest streak, the last 60 results, your settings (coin finish, your own labels, sound, vibration, shake to flip, statistics display, edge landing, best-of mode, language, appearance), a versioned confirmation of the start notice, the cached version policy and promotion file, a dismissed update or promotion notice, and the end time of a banner pause. The widget and the Quick Settings tile store their last result and flips not yet counted by the app in the same private storage.
This data never leaves your device. Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled. You can delete the statistics in the app (Statistics → Delete statistics, also available while the app is blocked). Uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android settings removes everything.
Shake to Flip
Only if you switch on “Shake to flip”, TrueToss reads the acceleration sensor while the app is open in the foreground, to recognise a shake. The values are processed in memory only, never stored and never transmitted. The sensor is switched off as soon as the app is in the background or the setting is off.
Advertising with Google AdMob
TrueToss shows a Google AdMob banner below the main screen and offers an optional rewarded video that pauses the banner for 30 minutes. There are no full-screen ads between flips, and there is no advertising in the widget or tile. Ads and consent requests start only after you confirm the start notice.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process your IP address, the advertising ID and other device identifiers, ad interactions, diagnostic data and an approximate location derived from the IP address for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and reporting. Recipient: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; transfers to Google LLC in the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Where required, TrueToss uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent. The legal basis for personalised ads and the related device access is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) Austrian TKG 2021, § 25 German TDDDG). Strictly necessary storage falls under the statutory exceptions; fraud prevention and security rely on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Declining has no effect on any app feature. You can change your choice at any time under Info → Manage advertising consent (shown when Google offers it in your region).
Voluntary Support via PayPal
The Support dialog contains a link to the provider’s PayPal page (https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=KGSXU6XYQ6ZKY). It opens in your browser; the app contains no payment SDK and handles no payment data. Contributions unlock nothing. On PayPal, PayPal’s privacy policy applies.
Version Check, Promotion File and Website
TrueToss downloads a small version file (app-version.json) and a promotion file listing other Wolpa apps (promo.json) from https://truetoss.wolfmajer.com. These requests, and opening the online legal pages, transmit technical connection data (IP address, time, user agent) to the hosting provider Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure operation, required updates and informing about the provider’s apps (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The provider does not keep its own access logs and uses no cookies, analytics or tracking.
Support Email
If you write to support@wolfmajer.com, your address, message and any details you include are processed only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Email is handled by the provider’s mail host IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Messages are kept as long as needed for your request and any statutory retention.
Storage Period
Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app. Data processed by Google, Cloudflare, PayPal or IONOS is retained according to their policies and statutory duties.
Your Rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Contact support@wolfmajer.com. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Austria the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Wien (www.dsb.gv.at).
Changes
Material changes are published as a new dated version and must be confirmed again in the app. Earlier versions stay available at their dated addresses.
